Global Guru Purnima

29 July 2007

Global Good News is delighted to present the photos of the ground breaking for the Maharishi Tower on Invincibility around the world on Guru Purnima Day, 29 July 2007. The photos are from 108 locations, spanning all time zones.

On this auspicious day, ground was broken and cornerstones were laid for Maharishi Towers of Invincibility around the world.

It was a historic occasion, with ceremonies held continuously around the globe—at midday, local time in each country—beginning in New Zealand and ending 23 hours later in Western Samoa.

Mayors and dignitaries of many of the cities, where the Towers of Invincibility will be built, participated in the ceremonies. Rajas (administrators) of the Global Country of World Peace also attended some of the ceremonies.

At each location, local leaders and supporters of the Global Country of World Peace performed Guru Puja (the Vedic ceremony of gratitude) to Guru Dev, broke ground, made offerings to purify the ground, and laid the foundation stone for the region's Tower of Invincibility.

Some groundbreaking ceremonies included festivities such as traditional dancing, music, and refreshments for all who attended. The photos that follow include various aspects of the ceremonies for each country.

Read the reports the event sent by 79 leaders of the Global Country of World Peace around the world, starting with New Zealand and going around the globe to end in Western Samoa.
