29 July 2007

Maharishi Central University will be established on beautiful scenic land in Macedonia to become a centre of world peace for all European nations. The new university joins those already being established in Kansas, USA, and in the Brahmasthan (geographical centre) of India. Maharishi Central University in Macedonia will also be the seat of the Global Parliament of World Peace.

On 30 July 2007, the second day of auspicious worldwide celebrations of Guru Purnima, plans were developed for construction to begin immediately. A Conference Hall will be built for the Founders of Invincibility from 192 countries of the world. Founders who inaugurated Towers of Invincibility on Guru Purnima Day will gather for a Global Assembly of World Peace on the coming full moon in August and every full moon thereafter.

In addition, two hundred residential rooms will be built immediately, with three thousand residences planned for permanent occupants and visitors to parliamentary sessions. At least 2500 Yogic Flyers will permanently reside there to create an armour of invincibility for all of Europe.

Mayor Ramiz, a great forward thinking Mayor in Macedonia, welcomed Dr Felix Kaegi, Raja (Administrator) of Switzerland, and Dr Chris Crowell, Minister of Culture and Religion of the Global Country of World Peace, along with Macedonian teachers of Transcendental Meditation who organized the land purchase and initial plans for construction. Mayor Ramiz has been hailed as one of the most significant Founders of Invincibility by Kubera, Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance of the Global Country of World Peace. Mayors from around the world who had participated in the inauguration of Towers of Invincibility on Guru Purnima Day congratulated and applauded the Mayor of Macedonia for his timely initiative.

The Conference Hall and residential facilities will be built by Macedonian builders working closely with architects of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda so that all designs will be in accord with the principles of Vedic Architecture.

Commenting on the new university, Maharishi said, 'This is the first day after Guru Purnima Puja. We are so fulfilled and make a long clapping for the creativity of the forthcoming world. . . . This will be our global offering to the lotus feet of Guru Dev month after month for all the future history of the world'.
