9 November 2007 Dr Peter Warburton, Raja (Administrator) of England for the Global Country of World Peace, reported that the tour has created ‘a really good wave of invincibility for Scotland coming through the media, but also meetings with the government, with educational institutions, and the public, and everywhere an astounding, positive response, a thrilling enthusiasm for the message, and enthusiasm for those who are delivering the message—Donovan and Dr David Lynch, Dr Bevan Morris, and Dr John Hagelin’. News of the tour has spread throughout the UK, and the news from earlier days of this historic tour of Dr Lynch and Donovan is spreading worldwide. The Associated Press has carried the story around the globe. 'It's very interesting what has happened in the last two days,' said Dr Warburton. 'They have really shaken Scottish national consciousness with their intensive focus on bringing out Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's message of invincibility and coherence for society.' In 2005, Dr Lynch formed The David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace with the aim of funding the teaching of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in schools. Schools are approaching the Foundation every day, saying they would like to introduce the Transcendental Meditation Programme into their schools as a result of hearing of the scientific research and positive outcomes of those schools already utilizing the technique. In speaking on the tour, Dr Lynch explained how, when the Transcendental Meditation Technique was included in the curriculum of some American schools, such problems as violence, stress, drug abuse, and even suicide were prevented. |
