On 20 May 2007, a grand festival was held in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to celebrate the rise to invincibility of the nation of Trinidad and Tobago, made possible by a group of 150 students who have just learned Maharishi's technologies of invincibility—the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi Programme including Yogic Flying—at the SWAHA College and the SWAHA Secondary School, founded seven years ago by Pandit Hari Persad.

This is the first nation in the world to rise to invincibility through a group of students at a school. Four Vedic Pandits: Pandit Hari Persad and his three sons; Pandit Balram Persad, the principal of the school; Pandit Dr Prakash Persad; and Pandit Parmanand Persad are responsible for this accomplishment. They were honoured in the celebration and were offered a commemorative plaque. Special custom-made gold medallions are also being prepared for them. It was announced that this auspicious day will be celebrated as a yearly event for all years to come.

20 May also coincided with a special day in the Vedic Calendar—Ganapati, Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganapati is that aspect of Natural Law which removes obstacles to progress and evolution.

Dr Jose Luis Alvarez, Raja of Latin America for the Global Country of World Peace, read out the profound text of a scroll that was presented to the Pandit Hari Persad and his three sons. Dr Harris Kaplan, Raja of India and Canada, and Dr Steven Rubin, Raja of China, also gave addresses in honour of Trinidad on this auspicious occasion.

The celebration concluded with a beautiful address of congratulations by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He said that the three-fold characteristics of the Veda—Rishi, Devata, and Chhandas, all united as one—is the dignity of Trinidad. Trinidad is a word of Latin origin, which means the unity of three.

Maharishi said that the influence of this very small nation is penetrating all over with its great dignity of integrity, freedom, and affluence. 'All the Vedic blessings of eternity to the people of Trinidad and enjoy the grace of Veda, the Constitution of the Universe,' Maharishi said.
