Students and faculty at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA recently had the opportunity to enjoy a course in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture taught by international expert Dr Peter Swan.
Dr Swan travelled to the USA to teach the 16 lesson course titled: 'The science and practice of modern agriculture and gardening rising to fulfilment as Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture—Key to Global Sustainability'. It was also offered for the first time in the New England area of the United States at the Maharishi Ayurvedic Health Centre in Lancaster, Massachusetts.
Dr Swan developed the course under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, and has offered the lessons in South Africa, Great Britain, Holland, and other countries in the past several years.
Twenty students and eight faculty members participated in the course, which was offered as part of the university's Forest Academy.*
'It's been such a joy to dive deep into the knowledge of how agriculture ''agrees with the culturing intelligence''** more and more as it becomes Vedic Organic Agriculture,' Dr Swan said.
The local radio station KHOE featured an interview with Dr Peter Swan and Maharishi Vedic Garden Design expert Dr Susie Swan. Maharishi University of Management dean of faculty Cathy Gorini conducted the interview.
They discussed Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture, Vedic Garden Design, and support for peace-creating groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India—which has been formally organized in 33 countries around the world. (read more)
