12 September 2008 During the Maharishi Global Family Chat on 8 September 2008, Dr Chris Crowell, Minister of Religion and Culture for the Global Country of World Peace, gave a beautiful talk on the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of the Transcendental Meditation Programme and the Global Country of World Peace, bringing fulfilment to every culture and religious tradition around the world. In November, Dr Robert Schneider, Director of the Institute of Natural Medicine and Prevention at Maharishi University of Management, USA, will meet with government leaders of Ghana about Maharishi Vedic Health Care. A warm invitation has been extended by Dr Kwesi Orgle, the National Director of the Global Country of World Peace in Ghana, who also serves as Deputy Minister of the Global Ministry of Religion and Culture for Africa, to host Vedic teachers from India — experts in Maharishi's Vedic Science — to teach advanced programmes in West Africa. Dr Crowell expressed the hope that similar arrangements can be made in East Africa where a large population of Indians resides. He explained that Indian communities in Southeast Asia have been very receptive to the revival of their Vedic tradition through Maharishi's programmes, and this could be an easy way to develop the necessary group of Yogic Flyers to create invincibility for East Africa.
