Dr David Seymour, National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for Australia, announced the opening of a new Maharishi Centre of Invincibility in Adelaide, Australia. The inauguration took place on 8 May 2008, during the global celebrations of Akshaya Tritiya, which is celebrated in the Vedic Calendar as the Day of Lasting Achievements. A Muhurta (auspicious time) for the celebration was chosen according to Maharishi Jyotish, and 45 people entered the 300-square-metre building at that time to inaugurate the new Centre.

Speaking on the Maharishi Channel's Global Family Chat, Dr Seymour noted that the Centre's location was on a parcel of land that was the birthplace of the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, Dr Bevan Morris, adding to the auspiciousness of the location.

Dr Morris's mother, Mrs Dulcie Morris, was a special guest and presided over the ceremonial candle-lighting and cake-cutting to bless the Centre and all the activities and programmes it will offer the community.

Dr Seymour reported that a summit meeting of all the directors of the Global Country of World Peace would be held the following weekend. 'These enormously talented human beings will be strategizing how to achieve all the goals for building a Maharishi Tower of Invincibility, and how best to offer all of Maharishi's programmes throughout Australia.'

In addition, Dr Seymour noted that teachers of the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme are now touring the country—'creating many new Yogic Flyers and ensuring that the requisite number is attained to quickly bring Invincibility to Australia'.
