The Global Country of World Peace recently celebrated the grand inauguration of the new Maharishi Resort in Chihuahua, Mexico, during a special Maharishi Global Family Chat, broadcast live globally via satellite and over the Internet on the Maharishi Channel.

The celebration was one of the great initiatives undertaken worldwide by the Global Country of World Peace on Akshaya Tritiya, the auspicious Day of Lasting Achievements in the Vedic Calendar.

Dr Bevan Morris, Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace, warmly congratulated the distinguished leaders of government and education, and those of the Maharishi Resort, including Teachers and practitioners of Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flyers, who were all gathered in Mexico and connected via videoconference with the Rajas and Ministers at the International Capital of the Global Country of World Peace in Meru, Netherlands, for this great achievement.

Dr Morris said, 'It was a great thrill for us here in Holland today, to witness the participation of Dr Fernandez, Mayor of Cuauhtemoc, and Dr Garcia, the Rector of the Regional University of the North, and we are so grateful to them for blessing this celebration.'

Explaining the historic significance of the project, Dr Morris said, 'This project, the Maharishi Resort, is a world-class accomplishment that is creating thrills of joy all around the world. Eight beautifully constructed Fortune Creating buildings, on a vast land of 2400 hectares, with wonderful weather, with beautiful views—really thousands upon thousands of people from all over the world are going to enjoy this beautiful resort.

Dr Morris expressed his appreciation to Mario Aguilera the great builder of the Maharishi Resort project, and to Daniel Seymour who spearheaded the project.

Dr Morris also praised the immeasurable contributions of Dr Benjamin Feldman, Minister of Finance and Planning of the Global Country of World Peace, who was hosting the celebration.
‘I am sure that everyone at the celebration knows that Dr Feldman has been the dynamism in silence at the basis of this project of the Maharishi Resort—that whenever Mario (Mario Aguilera, one of the leaders of the project in Mexico) was speaking to Maharishi, Dr Feldman was right there, and every step of this project has unfolded under his leadership and his blessing.'
