Up Construction begins on Maharishi Samadhi Smarak, Memorial of Total Knowledge

Construction has now begun on the Maharishi Samadhi Smarak, a memorial of Total Knowledge celebrating the eternal Vedic wisdom of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, located in Allahabad, India at the Triveni Sangam (the confluence of the three holy rivers: Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati).

Speaking on 21 July 2009, Raja Rafael David, Purusha Raja* of universal domain, reported that the foundation of the Maharishi Samadhi Smarak is near completion, and the beautiful structure of the memorial building will begin rising up in the next couple of weeks. He noted that the leadership and organizing power of Dr Girish Varma*, National Director of India for the Global Country of World Peace; Dr Eike Hartmann, Minister of Architecture; and Dr Roger Audet, Surveyor General, has been instrumental in the construction process.

Following his remarks, Raja Rafael presented a recorded introduction to the project, in which Dr Hartmann detailed the different aspects of construction necessary for the monument. The first level, he began, consists of the Samadi Smarak's inner structure—floor, pillars, and ceilings—to be composed of pure white Makrana marble. This marble must be obtained in bulk from mines, so as to secure the highest quality grain for carving. (read more)
