Also in Ghana, a business plan for an Invincibility School for 500 girls has been submitted for funding. On the 35th anniversary of Maharishi's visit to Ghana, a press conference was organized with reporters from TV, radio, and newspapers.

In South Africa, all the major Centres of Invincibility are run by lady Teachers of Transcendental Meditation. Ansie Anema's Centre in Pretoria, in the north, has a teaching project in the extended Indian Community of schools in Chatsworth. Ansie has also inspired a series of Maharishi National Yagyas to be performed every few weeks for the past few months.

In the south, in Cape Town, GMDO Director Dorry Kahn's lovely Invincibility Centre is at her Vastu home; Liz Welsh's active Invincibility Centre is at her home in Cape Town; and in the East, facing the Indian ocean in Durban, Bev Voogt's Invincibility Centre is at her Vastu home.

In Johannesburg South Africa, Vicki Broome has an active Invincibility Centre and Maharishi Ayurvedic Centre offering Panchakarma—treatments for rest and rejuvination. Marie Loise and Sue Mackay are administrating the Consciousness-Based Education programme at Maharishi Invincibility Institute —the South African extension of Maharishi University of Management. Annie Falk is creating safe homes for girls in South Africa.

In Mbale, Uganda, there is a Maharishi Secondary School for Girls that has achieved accreditation. The school has doubled its enrolment to 60 girls this past year with the addition of approximately 30 Kenyan girls who were inspired to attend by the nine Kenyan girls who have been in residence. More dormitory rooms are currently under construction to meet the growing demand.

The Raj Rajeshwari** of Uganda has been working with Raja Graham de Freitas, Raja of Invincible Uganda for the Global Country of World Peace, and Mother of the Domain Dr Leanne de Freitas, as well as Dr Grant Lusimbo, National Director of the Global Country of World Peace for Uganda, on the progress of the school, and other expansion efforts in Kampala.

A new lady teacher of Transcendental Meditation for Uganda—the first in the country—is instructing girls at the Maharishi Secondary School, in addition to presenting introductory lectures about the technique in the community of Mbale, where the school is located.

In Nigeria, GMDO Director Margaret Obomanu has set up meetings with top educators to establish Consciousness-Based Education in her country.

In Ethiopia, 35 students from a secondary school learnt Transcendental Meditation and are practising the technique together in school. Over 100 students at the college level started the practice, and about 40 of those students have been accepted at Maharishi University of Management in the USA.
