The Global Mother Divine Organization* (GMDO) in Ecuador, established in September, 2009, is flourishing, especially in the areas of health and education.

Global Mother Divine Organization leaders in Ecuador reported on recent achievements, and their address to all delegates was featured among many presentations by emissaries from around the world on 23 July—the final day of the organization's Third International Congress in MERU, Holland.

Health
As a first step toward having a Day Spa, GMDO in Ecuador is offering relaxing, rejuvenating Maharishi Ayur-Veda health care treatments to the general public. The first treatment to be offered is Abhyanga (Ayur-Vedic oil massage). A flyer about the programme was distributed and brought a very good response. The first two ladies who came in for spa treatments had never heard of the Transcendental Meditation Programme, and both went on to learn the technique.

Global Mother Divine Organization leaders in Ecuador pointed out that any Transcendental Meditation centre can easily train technicians in this and other simple spa treatments; a manual and DVD are available for training.

Education
After learning Transcendental Meditation, the Director of a combined primary and secondary (K-12) school inspired the entire administrative staff, every teacher, and all the 150 students in her school to learn and practise the technique.

The school did all their advertising for the new school year under the banner of Consciousness-Based Education and Stress-Free Schools. In the flyers they used to promote the programme, the last sentence reads: 'The application of this programme is not a luxury for our children and youth, who are growing up in a world full of tension, crisis and fears; it is a necessity because it promotes a life in harmony.'
