16 July 2012 Delegates from more than 30 countries gathered in MERU, Holland recently for the Fifth International Congress of the Global Mother Divine Organization.* Each day's programme focused on a different area of activities, corresponding to the organization's five Foundations: Development of Consciousness, Health, Education, Culture, and Music. On the day focused on Health, the Congress heard all about the new, comprehensive Mother-Baby Programme. On the Music day, the new Vedic Dance course, offered for the first time recently at the MERU facility in nearby St. Odilienberg, was presented along with a performance of Vedic Dance. Both edible and floral Maharishi Vedic Gardens were presented on the Culture day, along with an enjoyable tour of the Vedic Garden at Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Peace Palace in MERU, which is built according to the principles of Vastu, or Vedic Architecture. On the Education day, special guest Maechee Aunampai Passakchai, a Buddhist nun from Thailand who is a Transcendental Meditation teacher, told the Congress all about her school, offering Consciousness-Based Education, aiming to provide a coherence-creating 'invincibility' group of 1,000 students practising Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques, including Yogic Flying.
