One of the first presentations was a very full report from India that included hundreds and thousands of mothers and girls learning the Transcendental Meditation Technique, and success in implementing Consciousness-Based Education.

In India the Global Mother Divine Organization (GMDO) is active in a number of states, building on the decades of teaching activities of the ladies' wing of the Transcendental Meditation Programme in that nation.

Special attention is now being given to the Sahasra Shirsha Matri Mandal project, which aims at creating many groups of 1,000 ladies practising Transcendental Meditation and Yogic Flying together at the same time in their own homes.
