Up Italy: Expanding programmes support development of consciousness Slideshow

17 July 2013

In the last year progress in developing the programmes of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has improved the quality of life for Italians. Courses in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture and Maharishi Ayur-Veda were offered, more students enjoyed Consciousness-Based Education, and news of the Transcendental Meditation programme began to reach a wider audience across the country.

A popular course in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture was recently held for the first time in Italy, in a lovely rural area in the centre of the country. Ten course participants enjoyed the wide range and depth of knowledge presented in the five-day, 16-lesson course conducted by Dr Peter Swan, who developed the course and has taught it many times in countries around the world.

In education news from Italy, at a school in Sicily where the Consciousness-Based Education curriculum was introduced in 2010, 50 more students have learned Transcendental Meditation. Now there are a total of 150 students, teachers, and administrators practising the meditation technique, including the school principal. People throughout the country have access to more information about the Transcendental Meditation programme in Italy, and related programmes to develop consciousness, reduce stress, and promote good health and business success, with the help of professionals who keep the news media informed about the benefits of the technique and upcoming public lectures and events.

Every month Italy joins other European countries participating in 'Invincible Europe Day'. All over Europe people who practise Transcendental Meditation gather at their local centres for group meditation, creating an influence of peace and coherence in collective consciousness, and connect with other centres on the continent to hear about recent accomplishments of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's programmes in Europe and around the globe.
