The tour members decided on an area in Guatemala for the production of fruit and vegetables for Maharishi Vedic Pandits, because of the auspicious orientation of the ocean, and they also noticed a refined, settled atmosphere in the whole area. Historically, it is thought that the orientation of the land to the ocean in this area helped protect the Mayan inhabitants from the Conquistadors for over 200 years.
