Up Creating invincibility for Peru and Chile from the level of silence Slideshow

In a continent with thousands of students practising Transcendental Meditation already, another school in Latin America has started to implement Consciousness-Based Education, and thus will add to the total of meditators creating coherence and harmony in society.

The latest school is in Peru. This school is unique among dozens that have begun Consciousness-Based Education because it is the first boarding school in Latin America to implement Transcendental Meditation into the school's daily routine.

In this school, children live on school grounds the whole year, thus their lives are very intertwined with their schooling. For this reason, Transcendental Meditation teachers and educators felt that having a programme to release stress and increase creativity would be of additional benefit for these students.

The first group of children to learn Transcendental Meditation will be made up of 900 students. But because the school is offering support to their Consciousness-Based Education programme, providing assistance in the evenings and on the weekends, the utilization of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's educational technologies could increase.

This development is also significant because Consciousness-Based Education has been adopted widely in the Andean region of Peru, where there are a total of 4,000 Yogic Flyers. Now there is a major wave of interest shown in the coastal area surrounding Lima, following a presentation on Consciousness-Based Education given to 800 teachers in the area of Lima in 2011.

Transcendental Meditation teachers in the region feel that such news is a sign of the increasing success of Maharishi's technologies of consciousness promoting positive, life-supporting trends throughout Latin America. In neighbouring Chile, for example, about 1,000 students practice Transcendental Meditation in their classrooms.
