During the past several months on the Maharishi Global Family Chat, Dr Peter Warburton, Raja of Invincible Great Britain for the Global Country of World Peace, has been reviewing the exciting progress of Consciousness-Based Education programmes in Great Britain.

Raja Peter said, 'Although we have had a very successful Maharishi School offering the Transcendental Meditation Technique and Consciousness-Based Education in Skelmersdale, England, for over 20 years, we have wanted to bring this knowledge into the field of education throughout Great Britain. Now, suddenly in the last few months, not only are schools responding positively, but they are demanding it.'

He explained there are 12 schools in various stages of introducing the Transcendental Meditation Technique and Consciousness-Based Education—and the majority of them are state schools.

In the Greater Manchester area there is one large school that had been failing, and has completely turned around after introducing Maharishi's programmes. 'The school has now been given national status as a centre of academic excellence,' and is noted as ‘a flagship school, which means they guide other schools’, Raja Peter said.

There are four schools in the area that are watching closely the programme at this school to see how it goes, with a view to introducing it themselves. 'I think this is how it is going to spread; it spreads from one school to another,' he said.

'This is a very promising thing for invincibility for the nation, because all of the schools know it starts with Transcendental Meditation and it goes on eventually to Yogic Flying and creation of the Yogic Flying group.'

Raja Peter also discussed the beautiful new literature on Consciousness-Based Education that has been developed for Directors of the Global Country of World Peace in different regions of Great Britain so that they have all the information needed to introduce Consciousness-Based Education into schools.
