During Maharishi Global Family Chat on 3 September, Colonel Gunther Chasse, Minister of Defence for Invincible Germany, read the report about rising coherence in India from Major General Dr Kulwant Singh, Minister of Defence of the Global Country of World Peace.

Colonel Chasse said that Major General Singh was a highly decorated general in the Indian Army; he was awarded the second highest decoration for senior officers. He received his PhD and Master of Science in Defence Studies from Chennai University, and qualified for the prestigious Higher Command Course at the College of Combat. He is also a graduate of the Defence Services College. He fought in combat and in India's fight against terrorism for nearly 30 years.

After his retirement General Singh joined Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's 'army of wisdom', Dr Chasse said, and was appointed Minister of Defence of the Global Country of World Peace.

In his report read by Colonel Chasse, Major General Singh said that great events are taking place in India. They are gradually heading toward coherence amongst large numbers of young students. In over 100 Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools there is regular practice of Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. The total numbers of students and others practising this technology of consciousness is more than 100,000, including the parents and staff. (read more)
