11 September 2008 On Maharishi's Global Family Chat on 3 September, Colonel Gunther Chasse, Minister of Defence of Invincible Germany for the Global Country of World Peace, presented a report from the National Director of Defence for Invincible Russia on a group of Yogic Flyers in Rostov. After the recent outbreak of hostilities in the Caucasus region, a group of Yogic Flyers was immediately organized in the capital of South Russia. This group was originally established in 2003 at the special request of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, and is the first one in Russia. The group is meeting daily, and their group practice of Yogic Flying is contributing to creating peace in the whole area. Colonel Chasse showed slides of the group, which includes very active and successful Teachers of Transcendental Meditation and individuals practising the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying. The Teachers have been working together for many years, as well as with members of Maharishi's international organization, who have visited Russia over the past years. The group includes the Regional Director of Rostov for the Global Country of World Peace in Russia, who has already been working on projects since 1993; the Regional Director for Education, who also is very active in all the activities of the region and is mother of the National Director of Russia. The other Teachers and Yogic Flyers shown in the photograph have also been very active on national projects and in supporting international visitors. Colonel Chasse congratulated the National Director for Defence and this dedicated, strong group of Yogic Flyers for their initiative to create a coherent, integrated collective consciousness. Rostov is 750 kilometres away from Georgia where conflict started some weeks ago. Colonel Chasse said that this creation of coherence is the only solution to dissolve such a crisis and to prevent its escalation. 'Fortunately the military engagement has stopped,' said Colonel Chasse, 'and the conflict is now on the political level. 'We wish that this group of Yogic Flyers continues and grows; it would be very good to also have permanent coherence-creating groups in the neighbouring countries, like Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Ukraine could also contribute to peace with a permanent group of Yogic Flyers,' he said. |
