Dr Paul Potter, Raja of Turkey, and Dr Ashley Deans, Ambassador of Consciousness-Based Education for the Global Country of World Peace, recently spoke about progress in Turkey on the Maharishi Global Family Chat.

Dr Deans, has completed two tours through Turkey, and made several presentations to universities and schools throughout the nation.

'Turkey is waking up to Maharishi's programmes for invincibility,' Dr Deans said. Several professors expressed interest in incorporating Transcendental Meditation in the curriculum, and the chairman of one university plans to visit Maharishi University of Management in Iowa, USA, to learn more about Consciousness-Based Education.

Dr Deans was interviewed on national television and presented the knowledge and programme for creating invincibility in Turkey through training at least 850 Yogic Flyers to meet the required number for Turkey's 71 million population. The talk was so well received that it was aired again the following day during prime time.

In addition, a new 12-part videotape conference series, entitled 'The Unified Field: The Key to Enlightenment, National Invincibility, and World Peace' and featuring world-renowned quantum physicist Dr John Hagelin, is now available in Turkish. It is being distributed around the country and large audiences have already viewed the lectures, including a group of 220 at a technical university in Ankara, the nation's capital.

A website featuring a ten-minute video has been set up to introduce Turkish people to Maharishi's Transcendental Meditation Programme. A second website reports on the rise of invincibility in Turkey, documenting signs of increasing positivity in the country.

Dr Deans commented, 'With Turkey's strategic location, we look forward to the rising coherence in Turkey bringing peace and invincibility to the entire Middle East.'
