June 2009 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi first arrived in Canada in 1961, visiting Victoria, which became the founding home of the Transcendental Meditation Programme organization in the nation. Raja Paul Potter, Raja of Invincible Canada, and Dr Ashley Deans launched their tour presenting Consciousness-Based Education across Canada and found a new level of receptivity to Consciousness-Based Education and Transcendental Meditation in meetings with school principals, faculty, and students in Victoria and Vancouver, British Columbia; Edmonton, Alberta; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Quebec City and Montreal, Quebec. They gave presentations to school principals and college faculty and students in these key cities; and also met with local Teachers and practitioners of Transcendental Meditation to discuss plans for expanding Consciousness-Based Education in schools, colleges, and universities in their areas. Also during the tour, Dr Susie Potter met with members of the Global Mother Divine Organization—in Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Halifax. Raja Paul praised 'the initiative under the leadership of the Raj Rajeshwari of Canada to bring enlightenment to all the ladies of Invincible Canada'. |
