16 August 2009 A top government official in Nepal was presented with traditional Vedic blessings earlier this month by a group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits, experts in the ancient Vedic Science brought to light and fully restored by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Transcendental Meditation Technique and the Global Country of World Peace. Accompanying the Pandits was Dr Deepak Baskota, National Director of the Maharishi Vedic Foundation and the Global Country of World Peace for Nepal, who spoke about the goals and methodologies for bringing peace and prosperity to the nation. Representatives of the Global Country of World Peace for Nepal have had previous successful meetings with this leader to present initiatives including the Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture programme. On a related note, Maharishi University of Management (M.U.M.), Iowa, USA, will hold a 'rotating university' course in Nepal this fall. Students from around the world will take an M.U.M. video graphics course while enjoying opportunities to see many beautiful sites. The excursion will include a visit to organic tea gardens which will soon be exporting products through the Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture programme. The Global Mother Divine Organization in Nepal, the ladies wing of the Global Country of World Peace, held a special one-day course enjoyed by forty ladies practising Transcendental Meditation. In addition, four lady Transcendental Meditation Teachers have completed the Teacher Recertification Course, and many ladies have learnt Transcendental Meditation and its advance courses, raising Nepal towards invincibility.
