| 7 May 2011 The effects of the Transcendental Meditation Programme on mental health among Japanese workers showed a decrease in anxiety, depression, aggression, and impulsiveness. People practising the Transcendental Meditation Technique were significantly higher in a serotonin metabolite (indicative of decreased stress), and significantly lower in their scores on negative mood scales—consistent with their expected lower stress level and increased state of well-being. |
