| 1 September 2012 These images were taken the same day as the prior one, on four neighbouring ranches. The land is fertile, water is flowing, and vegetation is lush. In all four situations there is just one difference in the way the lands are managed—and that is cattle management. The well-managed ranches with healthy, productive soil graze the cattle and move them along to the next area on a schedule that does not debilitate the land. Managing cattle grazing is one way to successfully restore an eroded environment. |
